There should be minimal changes to the Richmond team that narrowly lost to the Dogs last Saturday night. The sweeping changes made last week appear to have delivered results, in that the young Tigers really stood up when it counted. One Tiger that may make his way back into the team however; is Shaun Grigg. The midfielder missed the previous round through a knee injury. He faces a fitness test though to be deemed able to play against the Bombers.
Some of those aforementioned sweeping changes meant that the likes of Ty Vickery and Kane Lambert played at VFL level. The former looks unlikely to force Liam McBean out of the senior team. The latter however, has certainly made a strong case for senior selection though – he netted 32 disposals, 10 clearances, four tackles and a goal.
Another player who made a strong case for a senior call up is Adam Marcon; the best mate of Lambert no less. For Marcon to play at senior level though, the mature-age rookie would need to be upgraded by the Tigers. He has been in outstanding form in the VFL and last Saturday afternoon in Footscray was no exception – he netted 35 disposals, seven marks, four tackles, three clearances and one goal. If both Lambert and Marcon along with Grigg were to come back into the team, just who would be omitted is rather unclear at this stage.
Who makes your best 22 for Saturday afternoon?
